What if I don't have dental insurance?

We offer a special new-patient comprehensive examination, including necessary dental X-rays, for $79.

What should I expect on my first visit?

We are excited to welcome you to our practice.
During your first visit, we will perform a comprehensive oral examination and take any necessary dental X-rays. This allows our dentist to evaluate your teeth, gums, bone levels, and overall oral health.
After the examination, we will discuss our findings, answer your questions, and recommend a personalized treatment plan based on your needs.

I'm a new patient and would like to schedule a regular cleaning.

We welcome all new patients. During your first visit, we perform a comprehensive oral examination and take necessary dental X-rays so that our dentist can accurately assess your oral health and determine the appropriate type of cleaning.
Many people refer to all dental cleanings as a "regular cleaning." However, there are different types of cleanings, and the appropriate treatment depends on the health of your gums and supporting bone.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Periodontology, nearly half of U.S. adults aged 30 and older have some form of periodontal (gum) disease.
A regular cleaning, also known as a prophylaxis (or "prophy"), is a preventive cleaning intended for patients with healthy gums or mild gingivitis. If periodontal disease is present, a deeper cleaning called scaling and root planing may be necessary to remove infection and inflammation below the gumline and help prevent further bone loss.
Because we cannot determine which type of cleaning is appropriate without first evaluating your oral health, we are unable to guarantee a regular cleaning before a comprehensive examination has been completed.
Our goal is to provide the treatment that is most beneficial for your long-term oral health.

How much does a crown cost?

The cost of a dental crown depends on your dental insurance coverage and benefits. Most PPO dental insurance plans cover approximately 50% of the cost based on their fee schedule, provided the treatment meets the plan’s eligibility requirements. Many plans also have a crown replacement limitation of every 5 - 7 years for the same tooth.
For patients without dental insurance, a dental crown typically costs around $1,300.
During your visit, we’ll provide a personalized treatment estimate and review your insurance benefits, if applicable, so you know exactly what to expect before treatment begins.

How long does a crown last?

A dental crown is used to restore a cracked, broken, heavily filled, or weakened tooth. Crowns are typically completed in two visits.
The lifespan of a crown depends on many factors, including:

  • Teeth grinding or clenching habits
  • Location of the tooth in the mouth
  • Oral hygiene practices
  • Diet and chewing habits
  • Biting on hard objects such as ice, nuts, or hard candy

Many crowns last well beyond five years, and some can last much longer with proper care. However, a few dental insurance plans provide replacement benefits only after 7 - 10 years.
